North Caldwell's Troop 1

Any boy aged 11 – 18 is eligible to join Boy Scouts.  The Boy Scouts of America's objectives are to develop character, citizenship, and personal fitness.

Troop 1 meetings typically occur every Thursday evening (when school is in session that day and there are no holidays) from 7:15pm – 8:45pm at Gould Elementary School on 132 Gould Ave, North Caldwell, NJ 07006.

It is essential that we all support Scouting both inside our troop and at the Council level. It takes a significant amount of money to operate the Scouting program and a good portion of it (16%) is derived from the annual FOS campaign.

Thursday, March 31th, 2016

On this meeting, the troop discussed the pros and cons of the previous week's camping trip and hike. The scouts also prepared for the West Point camping trip by learning how to tie a Swiss Seat. Afterwards, the scouts split into two groups and competed to see which could tie knots more quickly and precisely.
