North Caldwell's Troop 1

Any boy aged 11 – 18 is eligible to join Boy Scouts.  The Boy Scouts of America's objectives are to develop character, citizenship, and personal fitness.

Troop 1 meetings typically occur every Thursday evening (when school is in session that day and there are no holidays) from 7:15pm – 8:45pm at Gould Elementary School on 132 Gould Ave, North Caldwell, NJ 07006.

On behalf of the troop, we are inviting all members including scouts and parents to chose a photo from the photo albums to be featured on the home screen. To pick a picture, email me at jimmyman57@gmail.com as you paste it to the email so I can upload it to the home screen. No photos will be rejected. Eventually, it will be put up. Thank you.

Get Your Packets Done and Over With...

In order to get a Merit Badge fast and speedy in which you are positive about what your are dicussing with your MB counselor, DO YOUR MB PACKETS. By going on the meritbadge.org, you can simply print out merit badge requirenments or the full packet with writing spaces to fill in your answers. Remember, get it DONE and OVER WITH now!

Taste the Summer Early

As all of the participants of Turrell summer camp know, the program is on its way to begin for 2015. To gain as many merit badges as possible, your best bet to completion on a badge is to get prepared through completing merit badge booklets that can be found on meritbadge.org. Remember the troop's motto: "Be prepared." Demonstrate this quality and your on your way to become a dedicated Eagle Scout.

Attention- Scribe Needed for Next Year

Recently the below email was announced to most troop members:

The troop would like to inform all parents and scouts of the consistent need for a Scribe in out North Caldwell troop community. To produce a more functional troop, a Scribe is a vital source of information to keep track of a few concepts: what was mainly discussed during meetings, what topics would be preformed during upcoming camping outings, etc. Becoming a Scribe will better your experience as a committed member of the troop by giving you enough time to pass on as a Star Scout which will help you easily make your way to Eagle.                                                                                                                                                                READ MORE...
